?A FIFTEEN-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of having drugs with intent to supply them to others and money laundering after a raid in Plymouth this morning.
Eight officers from the Targeted Policing Team raided a property in Beaconfield Road, Beacon Park just after 8am today.
Skunk cannabis with a street value of £500 along with more than £500 in cash was found after officers decided to climb up into the loft.
Drugs paraphernalia and weighing scales were also seized.
Officers removed a number of ornamental daggers and knives and said they would arrange for them to be destroyed.
Sergeant Dan Ivey of the Targeted Policing Team said, "Information with regards to controlled drugs had been passed to our local Neighbourhood officers who patrol the streets around Beacon Park and North Prospect.
"That resulted in Plymouth Magistrates issuing a warrant which we executed this morning.
"During the course of searching a property we located a quantity of controlled drugs and cash and arrested a 15-year-old boy at the scene."
Detectives are due to question the teenager later this morning at Charles Cross Police Station.
Sgt Ivey added "We'll be completing some detailed reports for our partners in Social Services and for our own specialist Youth Interventions Officers to run alongside the criminal justice process.
"The bottom line is we have a responsibility to all teenagers and parents who live in this area to minimise the harm that selling drugs can cause and will always strive to catch people who deal drugs on our streets".
