EUR 2 billion laundered in Serbia each year

Privatization is one of the ways of money laundering, says Aleksandar Vujicic, the director of the Money Laundering Prevention Directorate.
According to experts, EUR 1 to 2 billion, which makes around 5 percent of GDP, is laundered in Serbia every year.

Vujicic says that both Serbian and foreign players are involved in money laundering in Serbia. The laundered money is often sent to various off-shore zones, explains Vujicic.
